Dan Wagner is the founder and creative force behind Wagner Media, a production company based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
With a passion for capturing moments and sharing stories, Dan has spent his life honing his craft, from his early years with his family's handycam in the heart of Paris, to his studies in Digital Cinema at DePaul’s School of CDM in Chicago, Illinois or filming X Games gold medalists high in the snow covered peaks of the alps.
At the age of eight, Dan moved to the heart of Paris, France, and began creating videos and photos of skateboarding, rollerblading and trips around Europe. Dan always had a camera in hand, capturing the world around him. Surrounded by classical art works, old European architecture, and countless visits to museums and cathedrals, Dan began to form his artistic style.
He returned to Cincinnati for high school, where he spent most of his time filming, skateboarding, skiing, mountain biking, and building his next creative project.
In 2009, Dan moved to Chicago to study Cinematography, vfx and animation at DePaul's College of Computing and Digital Media. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Cinema, and while in Chicago, he worked on numerous short films, commercials, and music videos.
Since then, Dan has had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including commercials, narratives, documentaries, and action sports. He has worked as the personal cinematographer for Olympic and X Games Medalist Nick Goepper since 2014, and has traveled the world documenting Goepper's skiing career. Dan has also shot work for P&G, Tide, Pantene, Bicycle Playing Cards, Fidelity Investments, Spotify, Kroger Health, Wild Turkey, and more.
Dan currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio and works as a freelance producer, director of photography, gaffer, and camera operator. He has experience producing and shooting projects for brands, non-profits, artists, and athletes, and has a variety of visual styles to fit each project's needs and storytelling methods.
Wagner Media has a studio space at the Warehouse Collaborative on the west side of Cincinnati, complete with a cyc wall, editing suites, and a podcast studio. Dan is always happy to travel, meet new people, and join exciting productions, and looks forward to continuing to capture and share stories through his work.
